Credentials & Representative Roles:
Important: Priya’s AMA and Federal Working Group roles are unpaid advocacy positions. All coaching, exam prep, and career services enquiries should be made through this website — not through her representative channels.
As your medical career coach, Dr KP provides personalized guidance to ensure your success.
Our mission is to give every international medical graduate in Australia the knowledge, preparation, and confidence to pass their exams, secure the right role, and thrive in the Australian medical system, guided by someone who has done it herself.
We believe no IMG should have to figure out the Australian medical system alone. Our vision is a future where every international doctor who arrives in Australia has access to clear pathways, honest guidance, and a community of people who have made the journey before them, so they can focus on what they came here to do: practise great medicine.
I know exactly what it feels like to be an IMG in Australia, because I’ve been there.
I came to Australia as an overseas doctor and passed both the AMC Part 1 MCQ and Part 2 Clinical exams on my first attempt. I earned my EMC certification, and I’m now working as a practising registrar. That journey is what led me to build the KP Balan Group, because I would have given anything to have someone guide me through it.
Today, I also serve as the AMA IMG Representative and DIT IMG Representative, and I sit on the Federal IMG Working Group. These roles mean I’m not just a coach, I’m actively involved in shaping the policies and pathways that affect you as an IMG in Australia.
What I offer through this website is structured, practical, paid coaching, exam preparation, interview practice, and career support. If you’re looking for general IMG policy advocacy support, I’d encourage you to reach out through the AMA directly.
But if you’re ready to pass your AMC exams and build a career in Australian medicine, you’re in the right place.
Imagine having medical career coach by your side who’s been through it all, someone who understands the nuances of the system and can provide you with the roadmap to success, I would have given anything for that kind of help…
